At startup, a decision was taken that Blue Crystal Sukiri should adopt the national colours of the Botswana flag. Permission was obtained from the Office of the President, and the Blue Crystal brand was born in Francistown Botswana, in 1985.

Having been previously owned by the Botswana Development Corporation and carrying the national colours, Blue Crystal Sukiri is easily recognised and accepted as a product of Botswana.

In 1992 the company relocated from Francistown to Lobatse and is staffed 100% by citizens, further entrenching our reputation as a proudly Botswana brand. Our total staff acomplement is now 158 people across Botswana, with manufacturing in Lobatse.

Blue Crystal Sukiri is, naturally, in the top ten of the most admired Botswana brands and has been packed solely in Botswana for over 36 years.
